Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Reveals Episode 1 Preview, Special Illustration by Ace of Diamond Mangaka

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime revealed episode 1 preview ahead of the July 7 premiere date. J.C.Staff is animating the highly-anticipated continuation of the original storyline. The first episode will introduce Touka, a new member of the guild who has a mission for Natsu.

The staff for the premiere of Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest anime includes:

  • Screenplay: Atsuhiro Tomioka
  • Storyboard: Shinji Ishihira
  • Director: Toshinori Watanabe
  • Chief Animation Director: Yurika Sako

J.C.Staff is animating the Fairy Tail sequel anime with Shinji Ishihara as the chief director and Toshinori Watanabe as the director. Atsuhiro Tomioka is in charge of the series composition and Yurika Sako is on character designs. Yasuharu Takanashi is returning to compose the music. Theme songs include “Story” by Da-iCE below. as the opening and “Goodbye, My Friend” (“Tomoyo Koko de Sayonara da”) by Boku ga Mitakatta Aozora (BokuAo) as the ending. The main cast includes:

  • Tetsuya Kakihara as Natsu
  • Rie Kugimiya as Happy
  • Aya Hirano as Lucy
  • Yuichi Nakamura as Gray
  • Sayaka Ohara as Erza
  • Yui Horie as Charle

In addition to the episode 1 preview, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest also received an illustration by Ace of Diamond mangaka, Yuji Terajima. The illustration is part of the seven-day countdown to the premiere:

Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes the plot as:
Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the whole Fairy Tail guild are back in action! And they’ve decided to tackle the “100 Years Quest”—a job no one’s dared take on since the founding of the guild more than a century ago.
