Fire Force Anime Helped Prevent a Fire in Real Life

The Kagoshima City Fire Department in Japan presented a certificate of appreciation to 18-year-old Sakuraga Kawazu. The boy lives in the Kamimoto Ward in Kagoshima City. He watched the Fire Force anime, which helped him react and prevent a real life fire in his neighborhood.

As reported by Yahoo News: “The fire broke out around 11:50 p.m. on August 15 in a two-story wooden house in the Kamimoto neighborhood. Mr. Kawazu, a resident of the area, was on his way to a grocery store. He noticed the flames inside the front door and called 119. He rang the bell and knocked on the door to inform a woman in her 70s who lived alone. The woman, who was about to lie down, put out the fire herself.”

They held the presentation ceremony at the Central Fire Station. The Chief, Kanji Yoshihara, said, “Thanks to your accurate reporting and calm and collected actions, the fire was quickly blown out. I would like to express my gratitude for the series of actions taken.” The boy said, “I had been watching an animation program about firefighters, so I was able to handle the situation calmly.”

Fire Force isn’t the first anime to help in real life, as we previously saw Great Pretender help avoid a scam!
