CyberAgent-subsidiary Applibot Inc. announced that pre-registrations for the upcoming Chiikawa Pocket smartphone app have surpassed 1.3 million. The game app launches in late March 2025 in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, the United States, and a total of 43 countries and regions worldwide. You can pre-register here.
To celebrate the 1.3 million preregistration milestone, the in-app item “Mushi Battle Ticket x2” will be distributed to everyone. The official X (formerly Twitter) also posted character introductions and calendars for March. You can check them out below.

- Chiikawa: Timid and cries easily, but has a kind heart. Enjoys weeding and fighting battles.
- Hachiware: One of Chiikawa’s best friends. Has a bright, positive attitude. Lives in a cave.
- Usagi: One of Chiikawa’s best friends. Yells “Urah!” and “Yaha!” a lot.
- Momonga: Loves to act cute and is always begging for different things.
- Kurimanju: Is a bit of a gourmand and enjoys taking care of others. Just don’t let Kurimanju’s adorable looks fool you…
- Rakko: A strong warrior who’s good at fighting and whom Chiikawa and the others look up to.
- Shisa: Works at Rou ramen shop. Calls Ramen no Yoroi-san “master.”
As previously announced, Chiikawa Pocket will continue to distribute rewards for preregistration milestones. At 1.4 million, players will receive “Zou Battle Ticket x2,” and at the final 1.5 million milestone, “Gems x5000” will be awarded. Chiikawa Pocket is based on the popular Chiikawa manga by Nagano on X, which began serialization in 2020.
Described as a story of “Chiikawa and his friends, who lead lives that are fun, bittersweet, and sometimes a little tough,” the series has wide popularity among both adults and children, with the number of X followers surpassing 3.7 million to date. The manga was among Kodansha’s best-selling series of 2024.
Chiikawa also won the Grand Prix at the 2022 Japan Character Awards and the 2024 Japan Character Awards. An anime adaptation is currently airing in Japan and is available for limited-time catch-up streaming on the official YouTube channel.
