After a five-year serialization, the conclusion of Ayano Takeda and Musshu’s Flower and Asura is here. Ultra Jump magazine (Shueisha) has announced the manga will conclude on August 19. The announcement was released in the August edition of the magazine.
Flower and Asura Details and Synopsis
Ayano Takeda (author) and Musshu (illustrator) debuted the coming-of-age drama manga in June 2021. Ultra Jump magazine has serialized it since its debut. Shueisha has since released ten tankobon volumes of the manga.
Studio Bind (Ruri Rocks and Jobless Reincarnation) adapted the manga into a winter 2025 TV anime. Ayumu Uwano directed the series. HIDIVE streams the anime’s subbed and dubbed version in the US, Canada, Ireland, and Oceania. The VAs who voiced the anime’s broadcasting club include:

Flower and Asura (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) follows Hana Haruyama, a bibliophile who recites stories to children. When Hana’s schoolmate and president of the broadcasting club, Mizuki, discovers Hana’s hobbies, she quickly invites her to her club. As Hana and Mizuki bond and she interacts with her clubmates, her love for reading grows. But Hana isn’t the only person growing; her addition to the broadcasting club elevates everyone there.
