Flower and Asura TV Anime by Studio Bind Announced for 2025, Main Cast Revealed

Flower and Asura (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) is officially getting a TV anime adaptation by Studio Bind, with the release date set for 2025. Minori Fujidera will voice Hana Haruyama, while Miyuri Shimabukuro will voice Mizuki Usurai. You can see the two in the first teaser visual for the anime.

There is also a celebratory illustration by the manga artist Musshu.

Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku is a Japanese manga series written by the author of Sound! Euphonium, Ayano Takeda. It features illustrations by Musshu. The manga began serialization in Shueisha’s seinen manga magazine Ultra Jump in June 2021 and is currently ongoing with 6 published volumes. Volume 7 is scheduled to release in Japan on June 19.

Shueisha describes the story:
Hana lives on the small island of Tonakijima with a population of 600 and loves reading to the children of the island. Mizuki is the president of the broadcasting club at school. She recognizes Hana’s ability to engage people through her reading, and so she invites her to join the broadcasting club.

“Tell me what you really want, and I will make it come true.”
“I want to join the broadcasting club.”

Hana decides to join, and she experiences many “firsts” with the members of the broadcasting club and begins to deepen her love of reading

Studio Bind is best known as the studio behind Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. They also adapted ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister.
