Esports organization G2 announced the global English-language launch of Red Aura, its original webcomic debuting on WEBTOON Originals on June 6.

Red Aura was originally released in Japan on LINE MANGA in October 2025. The series is inspired by “the defining moments and competitive spirit behind G2’s rise,” reimagining the “organisation’s legacy through bold shonen-inspired storytelling”.

The series follows Asa, a young girl who dreams of becoming the greatest Nomad in history. Set in a world shaped by fierce competition and dangerous enemies, she pursuits greatness as she learns to master her abilities.

The English launch will begin with 20 episodes available immediately, including 15 free chapters and five Fast Pass episodes, before continuing with weekly releases. The first season is planned to run for 42 episodes.

Red Aura was developed in collaboration with KISAI Entertainment, which known for webcomic adaptations of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Beginning After the End. The project also features artwork from Japanese art director Runbel, whose previous work includes the action-fantasy series Skill Master Levels Up. The creators say the series was designed specifically for WEBTOON’s vertical scrolling format and will experiment with platform-specific storytelling techniques, including a chapter that incorporates music directly into the reading experience.

Runbel commented:

“The world of Red Aura is fresh and original, which made it really enjoyable to work on. It was a lot of fun working with producer Daniel using camera work to create cool action panels that have never been seen before, and I was always inspired by his passion to try new things. I am very honored to have been a part of it. I hope you enjoy it.”

According to G2 COO Sabrina Ratih, the project represents the organization’s growing investment in original storytelling beyond competitive gaming.

“Red Aura was created as a way to reimagine the ambition and competitive spirit that have defined G2 over the last decade. Following the response to the Japanese launch, we’re excited to now bring the series to a global audience through WEBTOON. Expanding into original entertainment has been a major focus for G2, and Red Aura is only the beginning of what we want to build.”

Over the past several years, G2 has expanded outside esports through entertainment and pop culture, including collaborations with Solo Leveling, the launch of its media house 62, and participation in Kings League.
