Gachiakuta Game Reveals Official Title and First Gameplay Trailer, 2027 Release

The upcoming Gachiakuta game has officially been titled GACHIAKUTA: BREAKOUT, along with revealing its first gameplay trailer and a 2027 release date. The trailer was released on September 17, giving fans the first look at the game in action. The anime recently shared the first look at its upcoming Season 2.

The announcement also confirmed that players can already add the game to their wishlists on Steam and Xbox, with the game also set to be available on the PS5.

The game is based on Kei Urana’s Gachiakuta manga, which features graffiti designs by Hideyoshi Andou. Com2uS Group is the developer and publisher for the project, which Steam describes:

The first season of the anime ran for two consecutive ours over a total of 24 episodes, with BONES FILM handling the animation production. The anime was also Crunchyroll’s most viewed anime in July 2025.

The mobile game and a stage adaptation were announced alongside the TV anime’s Season 2. The game was teased as a survival action RPG titled Gachiakuta The Game (tentative), which will “translate the anime’s unique setting and atmosphere into game form.”

We had a chance to interview Kei Urana and Hideyoshi Andou, the creators of the Gachiakuta manga, which is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. A total of 19 volumes has been published as of July 2026. Kodansha USA has been releasing the manga in English since January 2024.
