Yasunobu Kuwahara, the bassist from the Japanese band GaGaGa SP, passed away on February 5 due to heart failure at the age of 44. The official website posted the news, expressing gratitude for the support. Due to the sudden passing, they also cancelled their upcoming shows on February 14-15.

Gagaga SP’s bassist, Yasunobu Kuwahara, passed away in the early hours of February 5 due to heart failure.
He was 44 years old.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for the kindness and support he received during his lifetime, and we offer our heartfelt prayers for his soul along with all of you.
To members of the media,
We kindly ask for your consideration regarding the deep grief felt by his family, relatives, and band members, and respectfully request that you refrain from approaching them for interviews or inquiries at this time.Regarding a farewell gathering, we will consult with his family, and once details are finalized, we will make an official announcement.

The band is probably best known to anime fans for their “Hajimete Kimi To Shabetta,” which was used as the 8th ending theme song for the NARUTO anime series. You can hear the song below.
Their other anime contributions include “Zenkoku Musekinin Jidai” from Keroro Gunsou (Sht. Frog) and “Konchikishoume” from Duel Masters VS.
