JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 anime has revealed the preview images and synopsis for episode 9 ahead of its September 21 premiere. Studio MAPPA returned to animate the 2nd season, with Shota Goshozono as the director. Check out the preview images below:
JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 Episode 9 Synopsis:
Shibuya station underground platform. Gojo overpowers and corners Jogo, Hanami, and Choso, despite cibilians being used as a shield against him. However, Jogo’s goal was to buy time and seal Gojo with the prison gate. Mahito also joined the battle, along with a large number of converted humans. The Jogo team tries to cut down Gojo using ordinary people as shields, but Gojo comes up with a secret plan.
The first part of the anime covered the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, before moving on to the Shibuya Incident arc on August 31. The main cast is reprising their roles. The main staff for JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2 includes:

Studio MAPPA animated both the 24-episode first season and movie for the franchise. Akutami Gege writes and draws the original manga, which is licensed by VIZ Media in English. Crunchyroll streams both the anime and movie, and they describe the story:
Yuji Itadori is a boy with tremendous physical strength, though he lives a completely ordinary high school life. One day, to save a classmate who has been attacked by curses, he eats the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, taking the curse into his own soul. From then on, he shares one body with Ryomen Sukuna. Guided by the most powerful of sorcerers, Satoru Gojo, Itadori is admitted to Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses… and thus begins the heroic tale of a boy who became a curse to exorcise a curse, a life from which he could never turn back.
