The upcoming new anime bundled with the spin-off novel Golden Kamuy: Tokushiro Tsurumi no Shukugan has revealed its main voice cast and a new trailer. Bundled with the limited-edition Blu-ray set, the anime includes adaptations of two episodes:
- The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin (Chapter 102)
- Long-Tailed Tit / Shimaenaga (Chapter 228)
The OVA has Shizutaka Sugahara as the director, with Brain’s Base, the studio behind Season 4 of the TV anime, handling the animation. It will be bundled with the novel when it releases on October 17, 2025. The main voice cast includes:
- Koichi Yamadera as Keiichiro Sakamoto (The Lightning Thief)
- Kotono Mitsuishi as Viper Ogin
- Ikue Ohtani as Shimaenaga

Golden Kamuy is a manga written and illustrated by Satoru Noda, serialized in Weekly Young Jump from 2014 to 2022, and collected in 31 volumes. As of mid-2024, it has over 29 million copies in circulation. The series earned critical acclaim, winning the 2016 Manga Taisho award and the 22nd Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2018.
The manga was adapted into an anime starting in 2018, with Geno Studio handling the first three seasons. Studio Brain’s Base took over for Season 4, which aired from late 2022 into mid-2023. The fifth and final season was announced immediately after Season 4 concluded.
A live-action film premiered in January 2024, followed by a TV drama, Golden Kamuy: The Battle for the Hokkaido Tattooed Prisoners Arc, which aired in late 2024. A sequel film was greenlit following the TV series finale.
