The Gundam Info website has revealed 3 new projects for the Gundam Franchise for 2022. Firstly, they have revealed the new TV Anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. Next, they revealed the new film Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island. Lastly, they have finally revealed that Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is getting a nine parts compilation episode, that is connected to the upcoming spin-off.
Furthermore, the Gundam The Witch from Mercury will be the first new TV Anime for the Gundam Franchise after 7 years. Also, as of now, there are no further information about the series. In addition, Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan’s Island will be a film. Additionally, the film will be revisiting some of the scenes of the 15th Episode of the first Mobile Suit Gundam anime.
Moreover, the nine parts compilation for Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans will premiere along with the mobile game. The new compilation will feature a new preview for the upcoming spinoff. The mobile app will be titled, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans – Urðr-Hunt and will debut in Spring 2022.
Additionally, Hathaway Flash has announced a new title for its 2nd part, Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway Flash – San of Bright. The film’s producer elaborated that the Japanese katakana characters “San” (サン) can be read as “sun” or “son.” Also, they added that the second part will be a little different from Yoshiyuki Tomino’s original novel series.
