Roxanne finally started her life as Michio’s slave in episode 4 of Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World. We all know that Michio was in love at first sight when he saw Roxanne in the first episode. His attitude whenever he sees his crush is comparable to Kazuya of KanoKari. Both of them love thinking about their crush but Michio is a bit smarter, unlike Kazuya who is a total idiot in life. However, it was pretty obvious that Michio had certain intentions.
The episode is not for kids as the scenes are what you can usually see in some R18 shows. Even censorship cannot hide what is really happening in each part, as they are completed with Michio’s thoughts that serve as narration. The plot can easily go shoulder to shoulder with some of the more explicit anime titles, such as Redo of Healer, World’s End Harem, Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory, To Love Ru, High School DxD, and Testament of the New Sister Devil; and it even surpasses some of them.
Even though it starts off as a simple bathing scene, Michio and Roxanne end up going all the way. As previously stated, even though censorship is there, it does little to hide what is happening. It is peak ecchi and perhaps even more since it crosses the border to borderline H genre. That aside, the relationship between the two has a skewed power structure, as Roxanne is a slave and doesn’t have much choice. However, it seems that Michio has every intention of treating her as an equal and Roxanne is sensing that since she kisses him the morning after.
Judging from the manga, we can expect even more similar content in the future. Episode 5 will air on August 3, and you can watch it on Crunchyroll.
