Hell’s Paradise episode 9 will be delayed until June 3, according to the official Twitter account for the series. The episode, originally scheduled for May 27, is delayed due to the broadcasting of the World Table Tennis Finals, which will air during the usual Hell’s Paradise timeslot. Episode 8 of Hell’s Paradise was released today and is currently available to watch on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.

Hell’s Paradise is an anime adaptation of the original manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Kaku. The series was serialized weekly between January 2018 – January 2021 on the Shonen Jump+ application, releasing a total of 13 volumes. The Hell’s Paradise manga currently has over 4 million copies in circulation. Kaori Makita is directing the anime series while Akira Kindaichi is handling the series composition. Kouji Hisaki is in charge of the character designs and Yoshiaki Dewa is composing the music.
The official synopsis for the Hell’s Paradise anime is:
In the waning years of the Edo Period. Once hailed as the strongest shinobi, the much-feared Gabimaru goes astray and is soon captured. He is told that if he brings back the legendary elixir of life from an island rumored to be paradise, he will be granted the highest pardon from the shogunate. In order for Gabimaru to reunite with his beloved wife, he travels to the island with the executioner Yamada Asaemon Sagiri. However, when Gabimaru and Sagiri land on the island, his fellow death row convicts stand in their way. And there were the mysterious beings inhabiting this so-called paradise, unnatural eerie statues and supernatural creatures ruling the island… Will Gabimaru find the elixir of life and escape the hellish island with his life?
Hell’s Paradise episode 9 has officially been delayed and will air on June 2, 2023. No further information was provided.
