HoYoverse has announced that Version 4.1 of Honkai: Star Rail, titled “Unraveled for Daybreak,” will launch on March 25, continuing the storyline on Planarcadia and introducing more content, events, and a new playable character.
The update centers around Star Rail FEST, a large-scale celebration organized on Planarcadia that commemorates the Astral Express crew’s past adventures. The festival includes themed zones inspired by previous locations in the game, including Belobog, Xianzhou Luofu, and Penacony, with attractions recreating big battles and moments from the story.
Version 4.1 also introduces Ashveil, a 5-star Lightning character on the Path of The Hunt, who becomes a key figure in the unfolding investigation tied to events on Planarcadia. In combat, Ashveil marks a target as “Bait,” lowering enemy defenses and triggering follow-up attacks when allies strike the marked enemy.

The update also introduces a new activity titled Wispae War Saga, where players command different types of wispae units in strategic battles at Graphia Academy.
Players can upgrade their wispae soldiers and use spell cards and special items during combat to defeat stronger opponents and unlock additional companions. Completing these challenges opens new battles against outside adversaries.
Other additions arriving with the update include:
- 10 free Warp pulls for players who log in after the update launches
- The Arcadian Chronicles phase of the Divergent Universe
- A new progression feature called A Mask of Elation
- Returning double-reward events Planar Fissure and Garden of Plenty
Originally released in 2023, Honkai: Star Rail has surpassed 150 million downloads worldwide across PC, mobile, PlayStation 5, and Epic Games Store.
