An I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons anime was announced on November 1, 2023, by the publisher of its manga adaptation, Comic PASH! A Japanese commercial video promoting the anime’s release, as well as a new illustration from the I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons manga artist Uri Sugata were also revealed.
J-Novel Club licenses the light novel for North America, and describes the plot of I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons:
Duchess Leticia Dorman has been betrothed to Crown Prince Clarke since age seven. She was once a rambunctious and free-spirited child, but the strict education she’s receiving to make her a fit future princess has really put a cramp in her lifestyle. Izumi Sawano’s I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons light novel series was first self-published on Shosetsuka ni Narou on August 21, 2018, before being picked up in Shufutoseikatsusha’s PASH! Books line on April 26, 2019. Miru Yumesaki provided the art for the light novel, which concluded with two novels. The manga adaptation drawn by Uri Sugata has been published in PASH UP! magazine since March 2020. The fifth volume of the manga will be released on November 2, 2023. The entire franchise has over 1.2mn copies in circulation as of November 2023.
