Heroine? Saint? No, I’m an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)! – First Anime Teaser Visual

Heroine? Saint? No, I’m an All-Works Maid (and Proud of It)! is a Japanese light novel series written by Atekichi with illustrations by Yukiko. The story originally debuted on the self-publishing platform Shosetsuka ni Naro in February 2017. In March 2020, TO Books picked up the series and began releasing it under their TO Bunko label. There is also a manga adaptation drawn by Keiko, which launched in May 2021.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel in English, describing the story:

“I will become the world’s most wonderful maid!” With her skirt fluttering in black and white, the girl shouted. Her name is Melody. A reincarnated former Japanese girl, she now pursues her dream in her new life, working as an all-purpose maid for a poor count’s family in the kingdom of Théolas. When she makes it, even cheap tea turns into a luxury brew, and a dilapidated mansion is quickly restored to new! Cleaning, serving, hunting, DIY—leave it all to her and her powerful magic.

Unbeknownst to Melody, this world is actually an otome game, and she is the most powerful and invincible heroine, the saint! Yet, she remains oblivious to this fact. Romance with handsome men? Attacks by the Demon Lord? Work comes first!

A fantasy of misunderstood work that unknowingly shatters destiny!

The original author, Atekichi, commented on the anime:

“The words ‘anime adaptation’ sound almost too good to be true. I always dreamed of ‘someday,’ and now that day has really come, I’m genuinely amazed. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported and believed in this work.

My characters, who once existed only in my imagination, came to life through illustrations, then a comic and audiobook, and now they are finally taking flight into the world of anime. Melody’s pursuit of a wonderful maid life, driven simply by her love of being a maid—I hope everyone will join me in cheering her on.”
