The anime is based on a light novel series by Kisetsu Morita (story) and Benio (art). The novel is still ongoing, with 25 released as of August 9. Yen Press licensed the novel in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime.

The story follows Azusa, who dies of overworking and gets reincarnated as an undying witch in another world. She decides to be as free as she can, only hunting slimes. Little did she know that hunting slimes for centuries would still make her an overpowered isekai protagonist.
