Araki Hirohiko‘s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure series will release its own magazine titled JoJo magazine on March 19, 2022. The magazine marks the 35th anniversary of the series. The official Twitter account for the magazine announced the publication on December 27, 2021.
The tweet introduces it as a magazine “for all JoJo lovers”, with a cover by Araki Hirohiko himself. Jotaro and Jolyne are on the cover. Jolyne is the star of Part 6 of the series, which recently revealed the first 12 episodes of the anime adaptation on Netflix.
The magazine also compiles a new 71 page one-shot including colored front pages from the series’ spin-off “Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan”. In addition, the book has an interview with Takahashi Issei, the actor playing the role of Kishibe Rohan in the live-action drama adaptation. The show’s episode 4 was aired on NHK on December 27. Episodes 5 and 6 will broadcast on December 28 and 29 respectively.
JOJO magazine includes info about novel adaptations and also features anime adaptations. Shueisha is publishing it both in print and digitally. The price will be around 14 USD (1650 JPY), and those who buy it will also get a special pair of JoJo STICKERS.
Araki Hirohiko had the manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump from 1986 to 2004, BUT THEN moved it to Ultra Jump in 2005. Part 8 ended on August 19, 2021.
