The upcoming JUJUTSU KAISEN compilation movie, Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, will feature a brand-new Juju Stroll mini-anime. Scheduled to premiere in Japan on May 30, 2025, the film is a compilation of one of the anime’s most emotional arcs (so far), and it will now include original content featuring Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri.
The Juju Stroll mini-anime will appear within the main film and offer a light-hearted contrast to the main story. Known for the playful, slice-of-life style, Juju Stroll segments were typically featured at the end of the TV anime’s episodes.
Reliving the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc
Hidden Inventory / Premature Death – The Movie is a re-edited theatrical compilation of the first five episodes of JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 2. The arc follows the past of Gojo and Geto during their high school days as they protect Riko Amanai, the designated Star Plasma Vessel. The mission ends up completely changing their relationship and sets the stage for major events in the franchise.
The movie will have remixed sound for an enhanced theatrical experience and features an all-new acoustic version of Tatsuya Kitani’s “Where Our Blue Is,” originally used as the Season 2 opening theme. You can hear the song in the recently revealed trailer below.
Studio MAPPA handled the animation. The second season of the anime covered the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc in 5 episodes, before moving on to the Shibuya Incident arc for the remaining 18. The main cast reprised their roles, including:

North American Release Set for July 16, 2025
In North America, GKIDS has acquired the theatrical distribution rights, marking its first release of a JUJUTSU KAISEN title. The film will debut in the U.S. and Canada on July 16, 2025, in both subtitled and dubbed formats.
This shift in distribution follows Toho International’s acquisition of GKIDS and represents a strategic move by Toho to increase control over its international releases, as also seen with My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
JUJUTSU KAISEN Upcoming Anime
The compilation film is coming as a buildup to JUJUTSU KAISEN‘s upcoming Culling Game arc sequel anime, currently in production. A teaser visual was previously released, though its format remains a mystery.
The manga, which concluded in September 2024 after six and a half years of serialization, ended with 30 volumes, the final two of which were released simultaneously in December 2024. Volume 30 featured a special epilogue.
