Jujutsu Kaisen revealed a new key visual for the Shibuya Incident arc, which is currently ongoing in the anime. The visual was teased after last week’s episode. The highly-anticipated second season of the adaptation began with Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc, which focused on Geto and Suguru’s joint past. The season has been airing since July and is set to broadcast its 15th episode this week.
Studio MAPPA returned to animate the sequel, this time under the direction of Shota Goshozono. In addition to the TV anime, the franchise also has a prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, which was also animated by the same studio. The plot takes place after the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc but before the events of the first season. To commemorate the new visual, Jujutsu Kaisen anime also revealed a promotional video for it:
Jujutsu Kaisen is based on a manga by Gege Akutami that is currently being serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The manga launched on March 5, 2018, and has since become one of the most popular shonen titles of today. Viz Media is publishing it in English and fans can also read it on Shueisha’s MANGA Plus app for free, but only for most recent chapters.
