Kamitsubaki City Under Construction, a new original IP project by Japanese YouTube-focused creative label Kamitsubaki Studio, is getting a TV anime project, which will be released in 2025.
The characters will be voiced by members of the virtual artist group V.W.P (short for -Virtual Witch Phenomenon-), which is composed of members KAF, RIM, Harusaruhi, Isekaijoucho, and KOKO. This was announced following the recent conclusion of the group’s Kamitsubaki Yoyogi Wars concert from January 13 to 14 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium.
Kamitsubaki City Under Construction is also getting a rhythm game this spring titled KAMITSUBAKI CITY ENSEMBLE. The V.W.P (Virtual Witch Phenomenon) group members are also voicing the characters in the game, with Studio Lalala developing the game alongside Rocket Studio, Inc. Check out the game trailer below:

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble is a rhythm game in which AI girls who were awoken after the apocalypse use special song magic to create melodies with you, in an effort to restart the world. How did the destruction happen? Why do these girls exist? All answers will be revealed…when the music stops.
Moreover, the -Virtual Witch Phenomenon- also announced details for its second album titled “Awakening.” Its cover art has been also released:
This is the latest anime that will be featuring VTubers as main characters, the most recent being Kizuna no Allele featuring Kizuna Ai. The anime aired for two seasons: the first one aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from October to December 2023.
