Katsuki Bakugo officially won the My Hero Academia global character popularity poll, and he will be getting a bronze statue. The top 3 characters had a a 24-hour limited voting at the end to determine the “WORLD’S BEST HERO,” who will also receive a bronze statue.
Bakugo was the favorite to win from the very first week. The entire top 3 remained the same, being completed by the other two members of the main trio, Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and Shoto Todoroki.
The 2-month poll featured a total of 278 characters, with the top 10 characters set to receive an illustration by Kohei Horikoshi. You can see the top 100 ranking below.

Kohei Horikoshi drew the My Hero Academia manga for Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from July 2014 until August of this year. The manga received its first anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. It received 6 more seasons in the following years, with Season 7 concluding on October 12, 2024.
My Hero Academia Season 8 was officially announced immediately after the last episode, and it was confirmed to be the final one. The franchise also got four movies, with the latest one being My Hero Academia: You’re Next. The movie will release on Blu-ray & DVD in Japan on February 19, 2025 and include a new anime with an original story by Kohei Horikoshi.
