The previously announced Kengan Ashura Season 2 has revealed a new visual featuring the protagnosist Ohma Tokita. The anime is a Netflix original and will be exclusively arriving to the platform in 2023. The announcement came at Netflix’s TUDUM 2022 event, and you can check out the new visual:
The first teaser visual for Kengan Ashura Season 2 was released on August 31 primarily featuring Kazuo Yamashita, with Ohma in the background.
The anime is based on the Kengan Ashura manga written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. The manga ran from 2012 to 2018 in Shogakukan’s Ura Sunday magazine. A sequel Kengan Omega from the same author/artist duo started in 2019 and is still ongoing.
The first anime season was produced by LARX Entertainment and streamed on Netflix over two 12-episode parts in 2019. It was directed by Seiji Kishi, with character designs by Kazuaki Morita. Makoto Uezu was in charge of the series composition, while Yasuharu Takanashi composed the music.
Netflix streams the anime, and they describe the story:
Underground gladiator Tokita Ohma fights on behalf of business mogul Nogi Hideki, who wagers mega-business deals on the outcomes of the brutal matches.
