King’s Proposal Anime Reveals Main Cast, Teaser Visual, 2027 Premiere Date

The previously announced King’s Proposal anime revealed its main cast, teaser visual, and a 2027 premiere date on Sunday. Rie Takahashi will star as Saika Kuozaki.

Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint has been publishing the light novel series since September 2021. It currently has eight volumes in circulation, with the 9th volume set to release in December 2026. There is also a web manga adaptation illustrated by Nemo Kurio that has been published on Square Enix’s Gangan Online website since February 2023. The web manga has six volumes available.

Yen Press is publishing the light novel in English, describing the first volume as follows:
With looks to die for, Saika Kuozaki is the most powerful mage in existence and the only one who can thwart the annihilation factors that attempt to destroy the world once every three hundred hours. When Saika is mortally wounded, however, she bequeaths both her powers and body to the normal high school boy who happens to find her, Mushiki Kuga.
