Japanese band KiRiSaMe UNDERTAKER has unveiled their brand new cover of Code Geass: Lelouch of Rebellion’s first opening theme – “COLORS”.
The cover was made with the intention of conveying the original message, while the video itself was shot at SUNRISE headquarters. The song is a part of a project dedicated to covering songs from SUNRISE works and the next cover is Future GPX Cyber Formula ending theme “Winners”.
KiRiSaMe UNDERTAKER is a 5 member band under the SUNRISE Music Label. They debuted in 2018 and have since performed opening themes of Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, Zenonard: The Animation, and SD Gundam World Sangoku Soketsuden.
This isn’t the first time that KiRiSaMe UNDERTAKER worked on a Code: Geass-related work since the band also performed the theme song for the upcoming Code Geass: Genesic Re;Code game. Even though the game isn’t out yet, you can check out the music video for the song “Hitosetsuna”:
