KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Season 3 is officially getting a sequel as announced with a video on Friday. The details of the format and release date have yet to be revealed. Additionally, the series is currently screening its BONUS STAGE OVA episodes in Japanese theaters.
The third season of the series premiered in April 2024 with a total of 11 episodes. Studio Drive animated season three with Takaomi Kanasaki as chief director and Yujiro Abe as director. Studio DEEN produced the first two seasons of the TV anime. The main cast of the series includes:
- Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Sato
- Sora Amamiya as Aqua
- Rie Takahashi as Megumin
- Ai Kayano as Darkness
KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) is a light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. It debuted in 2013 and ended in 2020 with a total of 17 volumes. The series has since expanded into multiple spin-offs, side stories, and the popular anime adaptation.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and they describe the story as follows:
After an unfortunate traffic accident, Kazuma Sato finds himself in front of a goddess named Aqua. She offers him the chance to be reincarnated in a fantasy world, allowing him to bring one thing of his choice. Instead of picking a powerful item, Kazuma chooses Aqua herself. The two are transported to a new world filled with adventure, where Kazuma wants nothing more than a peaceful life—but Aqua has other plans, and the looming threat of the Demon King won’t make things easy for them.
