The josei romance manga Koroshi Ai (Love of Kill) written and drawn by Fe is getting an anime adaptation in 2022. The manga previously confirmed an anime in December 2020, but there had been no further details. Now, they’ve released a key visual, year of release, as well as the staff and studio. Check out the visual below:
The story follows 2 professional hitmen Chateau and Son, and it’s a lot more heartfelt than the name might imply. The official synopsis goes:
She’s a professional hitman. And he…is also a professional hitman. And she’s his target. Caught in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, will she fall first…or will he?
There’s also the character designs for the 2 main characters:
Ryang-ha Son
Dankworth Chateau

Comment:
This work has “no monologue and a few lines”. This is a very high hurdle to overcome in terms of animation, but that is the charm of this work.
We are currently working on it so that you can immerse yourself in the fascinating noir world by making full use of movements, voices, music, sound effects, and anime weapons.
Series Composition/Screenplay: Ayumu Hisao
Comment:
I took great care to express the charm of the original work by Mr. Fe in the anime.
We hope that as many people as possible will be able to see the fate of Chateau and Ryang-ha, and the “love of killing” that surrounds them.
Character Design: Youko Satou
Comment:
Contrary to the title, the story is very heartfelt and I was able to read it all at once.
In this work, one’s feelings and thoughts are expressed not through lines, but through facial expressions and actions. The author did a great job of capturing these expressions. I would like to incorporate them into the film without overlooking them and hope you will enjoy the various forms of love.

A Koroshi Ai (Love of Kill) anime will certainly be interesting. The studio behind the animation previously did Servamp, Saiyuki Reload Blast, Devils’ Line, Kono Oto Tomare! Sounds of Life, and most recently the Dr. Ramune: Mysterious Disease Specialist anime.
