Kowloon Generic Romance TV anime revealed a new visual and trailer, along with the main staff, additional voice cast, and an April 2025 release date. The anime was announced in October along with a live-action movie adaptation, which will also premiere next year. Studio Arvo Animation is in charge of the animation.
The trailer introduces the mysterious setting for the anime, along with the new cast members.

The main cast includes Haruka Shiraishi as Reiko Kujirai and Tomokazu Sugita as Hajime Kudo. You can see the two in the new visual for the anime.

This is another work from Jun Mayuzuki, who is also known as the creator of After the Rain. He began the Kowloon Generic Romance manga in 2019. It is serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine and currently has 9 released volumes. Yen Press licensed the manga in English, describing the story:
Welcome to Kowloon Walled City: a dystopian townscape where the people are brimming with nostalgia, and where the past, present, and future converge. Amid the hidden emotions and extraordinary daily lives of the men and women working in its confines, a tale of romance begins to unfold for real estate agent Reiko Kujirai—one that feels as familiar as Kowloon itself…
In the live-action movie, Riho Yoshioka will play Reiko and Koshi Mizukami will play Hajime.
