Loner Life in Another World Season 2 Officially Announced

Loner Life in Another World Season 2 anime has been officially announced, with the show set to return after over two years. The first anime season aired in Fall 2024.

The announcement was accompanied by a new “Season 2 Confirmed” visual, which you can see below.

Original author Shoji Goji celebrated the sequel announcement.

“Season 2 has officially been confirmed! I’m incredibly happy that so many people watched the anime, and thanks to everyone’s support, we’re getting a second season. I’m someone who believes in leaving each job to the professionals. The illustrations belong to illustrator Saku Enomaru, the manga to artist Bibi, and the anime to Hayabusa Film and the director. I hope you’ll continue supporting Season 2 as well.”

Lead voice actor Shuichiro Umeda, who plays Haruka, also shared his excitement.

“Loner Life in Another World is getting a second season! To all the fans… we’ll get to see that loner again! Thank you so much for your support. I’m thrilled to go on another noisy adventure with Haruka, despite him supposedly being alone. After meeting the Class Rep and Angelica, I’m looking forward to seeing what Haruka tackles next. I hope you’ll enjoy watching him overcome every challenge.”

Haruka Shiraishi, the voice of Class Representative, added:

“Congratulations on Season 2! I’m so happy and grateful. This wouldn’t have been possible without everyone who worked so hard on Season 1 and all the fans who supported it. I’m excited to play the Class Rep again. Recording Season 1 with such a colorful cast was a lot of fun, and I hope to bring that same energy to Season 2.”

Saori Hayami, who voices Angelica, commented:

“Congratulations on the Season 2 announcement! I’m very happy the story will continue in anime form, and it’s all thanks to everyone who has supported the series. Angelica spent much of Season 1 expressing herself through little more than breath and subtle sounds, so I’m excited for everyone to see what comes next. Please look forward to the broadcast.”

Shoji Goji writes Loner Life in Another World, which began as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2016. Overlap began publishing it in print with illustrations by Boota in 2018, while Saku Enokimaru took over for illustrations after the first 2 volumes. The original novels have reached 18 volumes, with the series surpassing 4.3 million copies in circulation (including digital editions).

There is also a manga adaptation by Bibi in the Comic Gardo magazine, which Kaiten Books licensed in English. The story follows Haruka, who missed out on the power selection in his new world and ended up with leftover abilities that his classmates refused to take. However, as luck would have it, they end up relying on the underpowered MC, and he will have trouble living his loner life.
