Magic Repo Man Anime Unveils New Trailer, Theme Songs, Additional Cast

The new trailer for Magic Repo Man: Dumped by My Party, I’ll Cash In With a Cute Support Fairy to Become the Strongest anime unveils the opening and ending theme songs of the series and an additional cast member. BUDDiiS performs the opening theme song “Risk rate,” while Kotani performs the ending theme song “Iremono.” Daisuke Namikawa joins the cast as Roger. SynergySP is animating the series slated to premiere on October 3.

Takahiro Tamano is directing, with Ryusuke Mori in charge of the series composition and Kazue Mori designing the characters. Ko Otani (Shadow of the Colossus and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing) is composing the music. A visual was released last June. The main cast includes:

• Emiri Kato as Empee, the fairy companion
• Daiki Hamano as Guy
• Akira Sekine as Misa
• Yu Kobayashi as Elle

The anime is based on the manga by Shingo Iijima and original story by Masakichi. The story is introduced as follows:
This is a world where a person’s life is greatly shaped by the “Gift” bestowed upon them by the Creator God. A kind-hearted boy named Lent, who lives in a remote frontier village, receives an exceedingly rare support-type ability called 《Mana Vault》, which allows him to lend his own magical power to his companions.
Together with his childhood friends from the village, he forms the adventuring party “Skycleaver Sword” and sets out on a journey, determined to fulfill his role as the team’s support specialist. However, because Lent never seems to grow stronger himself, he comes to be seen as dead weight and is mercilessly expelled from the party.
Consumed by intense anger and a desire for revenge, Lent’s Gift evolves, awakening its true power… A skill that allows him to forcibly reclaim the vast amounts of magical power he had been lending all along. Seizing back the mana from the former comrades who betrayed him, Lent grows stronger from what he recovers.
Thus begins the tale of Lent’s revenge.
