The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 Episode 19 preview has been released on the official website. The episode will broadcast in Japan on May 23 and will be available later with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and Netflix (in Asia). The episode is titled “Festival.”
After being kidnapped from the rear palace, Maomao ends up in a village hidden deep in the forest. There is a festival currently being held in the village, so Maomao and Shisui decide to participate and wear fox masks. On the way to the shrine, Shisui tells Maomao about the local folklore and the meaning of the fox masks. Maomao feels uneasy about her situation, especially because she has not been restrained and that Suirei and Shisui’s behavior is odd. Later, Maomao confronts Suirei.

The Apothecary Diaries is a Japanese light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Touko Shino. The series also received two manga adaptations: one by Itsuki Nanao and Nekokurage on Square Enix’s Monthly Big Gangan, and another by Minoji Kurata on Shogakukan’s Monthly Sunday Gene-X. Meanwhile, TOHO Animation Studio and OML animated the first season of The Apothecary Diaries in 2023. The second season is currently ongoing, which Crunchyroll describes:
