MAPPA Revealed Original TV Anime Re-Main

Studio MAPPA revealed a new original TV anime titled Re-Main today, March 5, 2021. The water polo anime is slated to premiere this year.

The new series will be produced with the collaboration of MAPPA and Bandai Namco Arts. It will be under the direction of Kiyoshi Matsuda. In addition, Tiger & Bunny head writer Masafumi Nishida will be lending a hand in the production!

Synopsis

The story centers on Minato Kiyoumizu, a boy who quit playing water polo after an incident during the winter of his third year of junior high school.

After entering high school, he makes a promise and decides to try water polo again and join the school’s team with his friends. However, the new team will run into problems along the way…

MIKASA officially announced that they will be cooperating with the design of the water polo in this first full-fledged water polo anime.

Prior to this, the sports brand has partnered with various anime series such as Haikyu!!.

To sum up, MAPPA revealed a new original TV anime titled Re-Main. This will be a collaboration between MAPPA and Bandai Namco Arts.
