MARRIAGETOXIN anime revealed the Episode 2 preview images and synopsis, along with a new visual for the Water Master Arc. Studio BONES Film is handling the animation production, which premiered on April 3.
MARRIAGETOXIN Episode 2 is titled “What is ‘Charm,’ Anyway?” and will premiere on Crunchyroll on April 14. You can see the preview images and synopsis below:
With the marriage swindler Kinosaki advising him, Gero begins his search for a bride. Kinosaki, who can charm anyone in 30 seconds flat, insists that the best way to let Gero shine is for him to help people in need. When Gero counters that he doesn’t see how an assassin can save anyone, Kinosaki suggests a website that will hook him up with less-than-legal work. The pair visit an art gallery on a luxury cruise ship to practice dating, only for a heist on board to bring Gero face-to-face with the infamous art thief, Kyoko Himekawa.

The anime is directed by Motonobu Hori, who is known for Carole & Tuesday and Metallic Rogue. Serving as Chief Animation Director and Character Designer will be Kohei Tokuoka, who served as Chief Animation Director for SK8 the Infinity and as Character Designer and Chief Animation Director for The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. Studio BONES Film is known for animating two ongoing hit titles, My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON and Gachiakuta.
Official synopsis:
For centuries, the deadly arts have been perfected by those known as the Masters. Among them, the
Poison Masters of the Five Great Families hold the most fearsome power and influence. Hikaru Gero, heir
to the Poison Masters’ Gero Family, has lived his entire life in the underworld, far removed from love or
marriage.
But when the Gero Family head decrees that Hikaru’s sister must bear an heir to preserve the bloodline –
by force if necessary – Hikaru resolves to protect her at all costs. It is then that Hikaru encounters Mei
