My Hero Academia and Marvel shared cross-over illustrations earlier today, with the artist already responding to fan concerns over the portrayal of Mirko’s color. Humberto Ramos and Edgar Delgado created the illustration of the ladies of My Hero Academia together with Marvel’s Black Cat.

The Japanese heroines include Mt. Lady, Star and Stripe, Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Momo Yaoyorozu, Setsuna Tokage, and Mirko. This is the version that was posted by Marvel:

Edgar Delgado was in charge of coloring the illustration. He uploaded the following version his personal X (formerly Twitter) and Bluesky accounts.

While there were multiple corrections, Mirko’s is the most noticeable. Replying to a comment by a fan that there is a difference to the version posted by Marvel, Edgar Delgado explained that they were already working on it and that it was the result of a’very very tight deadline and no sleep.’ He also said that the references he had used had lighter skin and that he will adjust it for the final version.

Mirko is one of My Hero Academia’s fan-favorite characters, and you can see one of Kohei Horikoshi’s illustrations featuring the Rabbit Hero below.
