Mayumi Tanaka is joining the cast of the upcoming Me & Roboco movie, as announced at today’s Jump Festa ’25 stage. The movie will have a gathering of Robocos from various worlds, and Tanaka’s Roboco just happens to closely resemble One Piece’s Luffy, a role she’s held for almost 20 years. The movie premieres on April 18, 2025. Check out the teaser video:
Akitaro Daichi is directing the movie at Gallop with Michihiro Sato as the assistant director. Yuko Ebara is returning as the character designer. Jun Abe and Seiji Muto are composing the music. Kazuya Tanaka is the sound director. Sayuri Oba is in charge of the series composition. The movie revealed a trailer and visual earlier this month.

Studio Gallop also animated the first season of the anime series which aired with 28 short episodes from December 2022 to June 2023. The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the plot:
