The Megami no Cafe Terrace manga series is getting an anime adaptation, set for release in 2023. A commemorative illustration by the author Koji Seo was released as part of the announcement.

Aside from Megami no Cafe Terrace, some of Koji’s popular manga works include HALF & HALF (1996), Cross Over (2003), Love Letter: Koji Seo’s Collection of Short Stories (2007), A Town Where You Live (2008), LovePlus Rinko Days (2010), and Fuuka (2014). He was also involved in the artwork of the video game Fire Emblem Heroes, which was released in 2017.
Megami no Cafe Terrace is currently being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The publication started in February of 2021 and the series has been compiled into six volumes as of June 2022.
It follows the story of an orphan named Hayato Kasukabe. After passing his entrance examination at the University of Tokyo, he decides to return to the city of Miura and close down Cafe Familia, a cafe owned by his now-deceased grandmother. However, he discovers the five women working at the cafe. After hearing their stories of bonding with his grandmother, he decides to keep the cafe open.
