Minami-ke (The Minami Family) has announced a season 5 anime, coming over 11 years since the fourth season ended in 2013. You can see the announcement visual commemorating the news below.
Minami-ke is a Japanese manga written and drawn by Koharu Sakuraba. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine since March 2004 and has released 26 volumes as of June 2024. The first anime season was produced by Daume and aired in 2007. The second season was produced by Asread in 2008, titled Minami-ke: Okawari
Asread was also in charge of the third season titled Minami-ke: Okaeri, which was released in 2009. Studio feel. took over for the fourth season titled Minami-ke: Tadaima., which was released in 2013. The anime also has multiple OVAs.
The slice of life comedy follows the the daily life of the three Minami sisters: Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki.
