Mission: Yozakura Family anime revealed a trailer at this year’s Jump Festa event. The anime will premiere in April 2024 with studio SILVER LINK in charge of animation production.

Mirai Minato (Masamune-kun’s Revenge R) will be directing the series and handling the series composition. Mizuki Takahashi (Mushoku Tensei Season 2) will be the chief animation director and character designer while Kouji Fujimoto and Osamu Sasaki (Ragna Crimson) will be composing the music. The rest of the staff is the following:

Kaede Hondo is voicing the main female protagonist, Mutsumi Yozakura, while colleague Reiji Kawashi is voicing the main male protagonist, Taiyou Asano. Hondo is most recently known for her role as Elaina in Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina, and Kawashi as Fushi in To Your Eternity. Mission: Yozakura Family is a manga written and illustrated by Hitsuji Gondaira that has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 2019. The ongoing manga has published 206 chapters and 20 volumes. VIZ Media licenses the series in English and has released the first eight volumes. The Mission: Yozakura Family manga currently has over 1,5 million copies in circulation as of December 2023.

Taiyo Asano is a super-shy high school student and the only person he can talk to is his childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura. However, Mutsumi comes from a line of master spies with amazing powers. Her oldest brother, Kyoichiro, is obsessed with Mutsumi and out to kill anyone who gets remotely near her—and his next target is Taiyo! The only way for Taiyo to save himself from Kyoichiro’s murderous clutches is to marry Mutsumi!
