The upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom anime film added new characters to the lineup. The anime film was announced in July this year, and it will premiere on January, 26, 2024. The new characters include:
- Aura Maha Khyber (CV: Yukari Tamura)
- Orphee Lam Tao (CV: Hiro Shimono)
- Shura Serpentine (CV: Yuichi Nakamura)
- Ingrid Tradoll (CV: Sumire Uesaka)
- Redelard Tradoll (CV: Misato Fukuen)
- Daniel Harper (CV: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka)
- Liu Shenqiang (CV: Kentaro Tone)
An additional character named Griffin Arbalest was introduced as well, though there are no details on who is voicing him. Other cast members for the anime film include:

Sunrise (Bandai Namco Filmworks) is animating the movie under the direction of Mitsuo Fukuda, who has worked on previous Gundam titles such as Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (2002) and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (2004). Fukuda also co-wrote the script along with his late wife Chiaki Morosawa and Liu Goto. Hisashi Hirai is designing the characters. The rest of the staff includes:

The official synopsis for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Freedom is described as:
C.E. (Cosmic Era). An era in which there are human beings called Coordinators, born with superior physical and mental abilities thanks to genetic modification, and humans called Naturals who are born naturally. With their respective existence at stake, the ideological clash between Coordinators and Naturals escalated into war using armed force. Along the way, the Destiny Plan was proposed, which would forcibly assign a role to each individual and create a world free of competition. But amid the fighting, this Destiny Plan was rejected in order to protect humanity’s aspirations and future freedom.
