Modaete Yo, Adam-Kun Series Gets Anime Announcement

Modaete yo, Adam-kun will be getting an adaptation as part of the AnimeFesta lineup, as announced on November 10, 2023. The new “Harem x Near-future Sci-fi series” follows AnimeFesta’s Sazanami Souji ni Shojo wo Sasagu which was announced earlier this year. Hiyuta Konno will direct Modaete yo, Adam-kun, and Yoshihiro Watanabe (Haganai, Heaven’s Lost Property, Overflow, Interspecies Reviewers, The Testament of Sister New Devil) is responsible for the character designs.

The official synopsis of Modaete yo, Adam-kun (Adam’s Sweet Agony) is:
Set in a world where all of humanity has become impotent due to the aftereffects of a pandemic, it depicts male high school student Kazuki, the only human with a healthy lower half, living a throbbing harem life surrounded by kind, friendly upperclassmen, unsatisfied female teachers, the academy’s prince, an affluent family’s young lady, and other girls in an academy full of women.

Alongside the announcement, the staff also hinted at what we can expect from Modaete yo, Adam-kun:

Hiyuta Konno (Director):
“This is a work that I had a lot of fun making.
Up until now, I’ve been shy and put the brakes on when it comes to erotic scenes, but this time I was surprised at how easily I was able to release the limiter and portray it. Anyway, I enjoyed it. I hope everyone enjoys it too.“

Yoshihiro Watanabe (Character Design):
“A close-to-home subject with the pandemic that occurred worldwide, docked with H! The kind of life you might or might not want to experience… In any case, it’s a work that dispels the worries of this world. Since this kind of thing could happen, please watch as a preparatory study.“

AnimeFesta is a streaming service that contains all the anime-adapted works from its parent company, WWWave Corporation. According to its site, WWWave manages all the aspects that go into its works, including editing, publishing, distribution, sales, and anime production. The latest WWWave work to become an anime was Secret Mission which aired in October. The 4-koma Modaete yo, Adam-kun manga by Toyo is published in WWWave Comics’ online COMIC Goichi magazine and has been collected in 19 volumes as of November 10, 2023. Suiseisha will publish the physical versions, the first two volumes are coming on January 18, 2024. If the series follows suit of other WWWave titles, we can expect it to stream on Coolmic.
