Toho announced the first of major announcements tied to the My Hero Academia anime’s 10th anniversary, with the most notable perhaps being that My Hero Academia will receive a special episode on May 2, 2026. “[T]he episode follows Deku and his classmates eight years after graduating from U.A., expanding the story beyond the anime’s original final episode. Anticipation for an animated adaptation of this chapter has been high since the anime’s conclusion, making ‘More’ one of the most anticipated highlights of the 10th anniversary project.” The My Hero Academia special episode will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll (excluding Asia) on May 2.
Joining the My Hero Academia timeskip episode is the reveal of the 10th-anniversary special logo, teaser visual, and landing page, which serves as the hub for all anniversary event updates throughout 2026. The visual, produced by Bones Films and illustrated by longtime character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi, showcases 10 versions of Deku across his journey.
A spokesperson from Toho, which produces the My Hero Academia anime under its Toho Animation banner, said, “This milestone represents not only a decade of unforgettable stories, heroic characters, and epic battles, but also the incredible support and passion of our global audience.”

Furthermore, Toho announced the upcoming My Hero Academia in Concert world tour, a live music experience featuring the iconic music of composer Yuki Hayashi. The concert will pair Hayashi’s music with pivotal scenes from the anime in a fully immersive performance. The tour will start on May 30, 2026, at Pacifico Yokohama before expanding to international venues. Further dates, ticket details, and global tour stops will be announced soon. The 10th-anniversary celebrations of the My Hero Academia anime will begin on April 3, 2026, exactly 10 years after the anime’s first broadcast. The above announcements were teased as “only the beginning of what is planned for the anniversary year.
