My Next Life as a Villainess

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! anime premiered in the Spring of 2020 and had 12 episodes. The sequel was announced after the first season ended. Season 2 will also be animated by SILVER LINK. In addition, Keisuke Inoue is returning as director, with Miwa Oshima is doing the character designs.

My Next Life as a Villainess is a romantic comedy anime, with reverse harem elements. It follows a wealthy heiress Katarina Claes, who loses her memories after an accident. She wakes up and realizes she now lives in an otome game she once used to play. However, she is now the villainess of the story who tries to ruin romance prospects for the main character. There is no good ending in sight for a villainess, so Katarina has to fight to get her happy ending.

The story is based on a light novel by Satoru Yamaguchi, with Nami Hidaka’s illustrations. Additionally, the light novel received a manga adaptation. While J-Novel Club licensed the light novel, Seven Seas published the manga in English.
