The new four episode NARUTO anime project revealed a teaser visual and trailer along with theme song information. FLOW is returning to the beloved franchise with “GO,” as the opening (fourth opening of the original anime), and the cover of ORANGE RANGE’s “Viva★Rock.”
The anime, which is a part of the 20th anniversary project for the adaptation, will air for four weeks, starting on September 3.
The Naruto franchise is based on a manga written by Masashi Kishi. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in September 1999 and ran for 15 years, until November 2014. A total of 72 volumes have been published. Studio Pierrot animated the adaptation, which premiered in October 2002. The anime was followed by a sequel titled Naruto Shippuden. Shippuden had a total of 500 episodes.
Pierrot is also adapted the Boruto sequel manga, originally written by Ukyo Kodachi. Naruto author, Masashi Kishimoto later took over the story, which features Ikemoto’s illustrations. The manga started in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2016 but moved to V Jump in 2019. The Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime adaptation began broadcasting in April 2017. The story follows Naruto’s son, Boruto.
