Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show original anime revealed a new key visual and main trailer, along with the theme songs, more voice cast, and a July 1 premiere date. Cygames announced the anime in December.
Studio Gokumi will handle the animation, with Masato Matsune as the director. The new voice cast additions include:
- Manaka Iwami as Cthulhu (she also voices Miyu Maimusaka)
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Hastur
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Ghatanothoa
- Ayasa Ito as Cthugha
- Zhar as Zhar
- Lloigor as Lloigor
The opening theme song for the anime is “Kakushoron” by Ryushen, while the ending is “PANDORA feat. Noa (from ColorfulPeach)” by Vell. You can watch the new trailer below.

The story follows Miko Kurono, also known as Necronomico, as she graduates from middle school and begins her dream career as a live streamer (Liver). While spending her days with her childhood friend Miyu Maimusaka and her rival Kanna Kagurazaka, she gets an offer to take part in a new VR game project. Through this game, the girls begin to embrace their irreplaceable “now” and start running toward their future.
Cygames is the parent company of the studio CygamesPictures, According to a report by Toyo Keizai, the company partnered with Shochiku and will be leading the Kagurabachi anime adaptation project.
