The NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE anime will premiere on April 4. The show’s production company released a new trailer, key visual, and staff detail ahead of its premiere. Yostar Pictures, the studio behind Sorairo Utility and Blue Archive the Animation, will animate the upcoming TV anime.
The anime’s production company had previously announced that Aiobahn +81’s “INTERNET ANGEL” would be the opening song. Tatsuya Kitani will perform the ending song, “Levitation.”

NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE Details
The anime adapts Xemono’s NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, a denpa-inspired, multi-ending visual novel. WSS Playground released the game on macOS, Switch, and Windows in 2022. Later, Alliance Arts Inc. released the visual novel on PS4 and PS5 in 2025. NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE (changed to Needy Streamer Overload abroad) garnered positive reviews after its release. The NV won the “Most Stream-friendly Game” and “Best New Character” awards at the 2022 Indie Live Expo Awards.
The visual novel was popular enough to be adapted into two manga. One is an anthology titled KAngel! Needy Girl Overdose Official Anthology, published by ComicWalker. The other is a Manga Cross serialization named Needy Girl Overdose: Run with My Sick, written by Itaru Bonnoki with illustrations by Nata Okura.
The story follows Ame, a high school dropout with mental health issues and a needy personality, who becomes a streamer named OMGkawaiiAngel. Players take the role of her manager and help (or hurt) Ame-chan as she works towards her ideal follower count.
