The NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita anime is based on a manga series written and drawn by Kotatsu, with Mato Yakito as the storyboard assistant. It first began serialization on Niconico Douga and Twitter (now X) in 2020. It was later acquired by KADOKAWA, which then started publishing it under its Dengeki Comics EX label.
The series follows the story of Tsukasa Atsumi, a normal salaryman, who is suddenly attacked by a monster and gallantly saved by Shizuri Ideura, a shinobi. However, when Shizuri is not working, she becomes an otaku NEET. The story will progress as Tsukasa’s househusband skills spoil Shizuri.
