Negative Positive Angler, the upcoming original fishing anime, has revealed a new visual, trailer featuring its theme songs, two new cast members, as well as an October 3 premiere date. Studio NUT (BLUE GIANT) in charge of the animation.
The new trailer previews the opening theme song “Ito” by Van de Shop and ending theme song “Shonin Yokkyu” by 96Neko.
Joining the voice cast are Haruka Tomatsu as Ice and Yuya Hirose as Arua.
Some additional voice cast members were announced last month, and all the known members now include:
- Mutsuki Iwanaka as Tsunehiro Sasaki
- Fairouz Ai as Hana Ayukawa
- Kaito Ishikawa as Takaaki Tsutsujimori
- Masashi Sugawara as Fujishiro
- Rio Tsuchiya as Kozue Nishimori
- Hiroshi Tsuchida as Machida
- Haruka Tomatsu as Ice
- Yuya Hirose as Arua
A new visual featuring the main trio was also revealed.
Negative Positive Angler is directed by Yutaka Uemura, while the rest of main staff includes Tomohiro Suzuki in charge of the series composition and script and Hiromi Taniguchi as the character designer/chief animation director.
The original anime follows Tsunehiro Sasaki, a young man who has led a life disconnected from others and has a large debt. When his doctor tells him he has two years to live, he gets even more depressed, ending up in the sea after running from debt collectors. However, his life changes when he meets Hana and Takaki, beginning to learn about fishing and learning to enjoy the time he has left.
