Neko Oji: The Guy that got Reincarnated as a Cat is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yajima. Initially published since February 2023 as a web manga on Twitter and Instagram, it was later up for serialization by Kadokawa and serialized on their KadoComi website in October of the same year.

The manga won 2nd place at the Next Manga Awards in 2023 for the Web Manga category, ranking behind The Guy She Was Interested in Wasn’t a Guy at All. The official website describes the story for Neko Oji:

An ordinary salaryman suddenly finds himself reincarnated as a cat. Unable to speak human language and stranded on the roadside, he is discovered by none other than the president of the company he used to work for. Known for his strict demeanor, the president’s attitude takes a complete turn the moment he lays eyes on the adorable cat (who is actually the salaryman)…!?

Thus begins the quirky and surreal happy life of the salaryman trying to keep his true identity hidden, and the president who dotes on the cat he named “Pun-chan”!
