The NieR:Automata anime adaptation has revealed a new visual for its season 2 (announced as the 2nd cour), along with a trailer titled ‘Promotion File 011’ featuring the new opening by LiSA and July premiere date. The new opening song is titled “Black Box” and, besides LiSA singing, it has lyrics and composition by Hiromu Akita from amazarashi and arrangement by Yoshiaki Dewa. The official title of the anime is NieR:Automata Ver1.1a, and studio A-1 Pictures is in charge of the animation. Check out the new visual below.
The first season NieR:Automata Ver1.1a suffered multiple delays since its January 2023 premiere. The anime finally concluded by releasing all 4 of the final episodes at once in July of the same year. Studio A-1 Pictures also animated the first part of the adaptation, and the staff included:

Yui Ishikawa and Natsuki Hanae are reprising their roles as the main duo 2B and 9S from the games. NieR: Automata anime is based on an action role-playing game originally released in 2017 by PlatinumGames (developer) and Square Enix (publisher).

The distant future, 5012. The sudden aerial invasion of Earth by <Aliens> and their creations <Machine Lifeforms> led mankind to the brink of extinction. The surviving number of humans who took refuge on the moon to organize a counterattack using <android> soldiers to recapture Earth. However, the war reaches a stalemate as the <Machine Lifeforms> continue to multiply infinitely. In turn, humanity deploys a new unit of android soldiers as an ultimate weapon: YoRHa.
