Yu Kamiya’s No Game No Life light novel series is officially getting a new volume release, with Volume 13 scheduled to come out in April 2026. This will be the first book in over 3 years, following Volume 12’s February 2023 release.
No Game No Life is originally a light novel series by Yu Kamiya. It started back on April 25, 2012, and is still ongoing. It also has a manga adaptation which started in 2013, though it has released 2 volumes as of February 2018. The anime adaptation by Madhouse ran for 12 episodes from April 9 to June 24 of 2014.
The story follows two genius siblings Shiro and Sora. They get to another world, and games solve everything there. It’s not that simple though, and the official synopsis is described by Crunchyroll:
They are both NEETs and Hikikomoris… but on the internet, the genius gamer siblings Sora and Shiro are known as the undefeatable “__” (blank). Sora and Shiro’s talents and skills are so abnormally good they are considered as urban legend. One day a young boy Teto appears before them, claiming to be “One’s Lord”.
Always up for a challenge, the pair quickly take on the obstacles that come their way, whether it be restoring lowly humanity’s good name compared with the other races or helping influence who will become the next king.
Yu Kamiya dispelled Season 2 anime rumors last year following a leak that suggested that a new anime was in production.
